HISTORY, MEMORIES, AND CONNECTIONS
So often things, places, people..seem so familiar, like we know them or we’ve been there before. We just know stuff. We can relate with cultures or places, we feel drawn to times in history, or figures in the past, or incidents, events, people, lands. Part of us knows. Part of us accesses those feelings, memories, flashes of understanding, love of and feeling drawn to. This is natural. At The School of Creative Arts, we bring as much of this to bear in our arts work and studies as anything literal or scholastic. We explore history from where we feel a connection with it, of coming to an understanding of the times, forces, flavours and vistas, a tangible registering of what it felt like being there in those times, the sounds, the smells, the street scenes, the nature..all aspects, rather than just reeling off dates and names.
PERSONAL & PLANETARY HEALING
Every day, every class, every project, every discussion at The School of Creative Arts we explore from a place a special, specific inspiration of our own finding of service to the world - how am I inspired to be a wayshower of mutual cooperation, wellbeing and evolution for the whole planet and all of humanity? How may my efforts serve what is needed? What experience for people attending can my concert or painting bring to the world to pass on that inspiration and support that ideal? And so each person explores their own inspirations, intuitive learning, imagination, palette of history, area of work, and meditative experiences of being contained in the universal mind, and lets that be brought to bear through the weaving and development of all the different strands of each project coming together through to completion, with a selfless compelling purpose and ideal driving it all the way. In this way, audiences are affected by the bright inspiration, compassion, wisdom, intuitive knowing and benevolence streaming through the art. We know that it is through feeling that these values and realities are shared, received, and passed on. And so cultivating and nurturing the ability to live in a reflective, receptive, and meditative space in ourselves is an important part of what we do at The School of Creative Arts, and receives full support as it develops into the strength needed to bring these realities of being a loving benevolent force on the planet to be a reality. In this way, the way we work at The School of Creative Arts is a major avenue of healing-based change and evolution for the person, the whole planet and all of humanity - to be aspirational rather than ambitious, not just “my music” or “my career”. Being a planetary citizen.
In these ways our arts practice sits beautifully with our global concerns for better leadership, care and protection of the environment, the vital role of social activism, the need for holistic development of science and technology, appreciation of the humanities, and with practically every area of life. This keeps our arts as a really practical healing force in the community, and a voice of the highest inspirations and ideals for the nation and the whole world family of nations. It directly connects every idea, anywhere in the world, with initiating holistic evolutionary change and growth which benefits everyone, because we as artists begin to act as reflectors, and sources of better ways, of healing, of bigger views, of more impartial cooperative ways, of sharing and mutual problem solving, of bringing everything to the table in a spirit of being solution orientated - and most of all, making every aspect of life a safe healing place, whether at a national political level, in the science and technology arena, in conflict resolution of world affairs…in everything. So all these courses and classes at The School of Creative Arts are at the one time nurturing holistic arts practice with a global vision, holistic personal and professional development, as well as healing-based social activists, and new paradigm leaders and wayshowers.
